The Lizunova Custom Jewellery Design Process
We’ve helped hundreds of couples design their own sapphire engagement rings in Australia. We work with couples interstate and overseas too and our bespoke jewellery design process begins with an in-person or virtual design appointment with our brand founder, jewellery designer Maria Lizunova. Here we explore your design preferences, wishes, ring styles and gem options, so you can get a clearer idea of what you would love your dream ring to look like.
We’ve found that viewing our signature designs and handpicked collection of sapphires, diamonds and gemstones can help inspire the direction for a bespoke piece.
After this meeting Maria creates hand-drawn sketches that translate design ideas into a unique piece. We then go over the sketches, discuss each design in detail and gather your feedback that will shape your bespoke engagement ring.
Once you’re happy with the design and formally commission us to create it, we will produce full colour 3D drawings (or a to-scale wax model) so you can get the best possible understanding of how the ring will look before it’s made.
After we receive your approval, we’ll handcraft the piece in metal, set it with the hand-picked gems you chose, and give it a final polish before presenting it to you. If you’re interstate or international, we will email photos and videos of the finished piece before sending it with our trusted courier, and your piece is insured in transit.
