BESPOKE AND CUSTOM MADE JEWELLERY
We love working collaboratively with our clients, both remotely and in person, on creating bespoke jewellery, such as custom engagement rings, wedding rings, or special pieces of fine jewellery that reflect their individual style and design aesthetic. All our bespoke jewellery is designed in close collaboration between the client and our brand founder, jewellery designer Maria Lizunova. Bespoke clients have access to our handpicked collection of beautiful gemstones and have an opportunity to have a special diamond or gemstone sourced by Maria. You can read more about our bespoke process here.
We work with many interstate and international customers via Zoom, Skype, phone and email on their special bespoke pieces, be it engagement rings, wedding rings, or special one-off pieces. We can provide videos and photos of gemstones taken in natural daylight to give you a realistic understanding of their colour, scintillation and scale.
It typically takes around 6 weeks to create a bespoke piece of jewellery, from design to a finished piece. If you need your piece sooner, please contact us and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

Lab grown diamonds are created (or grown) in highly specialised factories. They are visually indistinguishable from mined diamonds and cost less than natural diamonds. Most of the diamond jewellery on our website uses mined diamonds, unless specified. We can source a lab grown diamond to suit your requirements and budget.

There are many beautiful and durable natural gemstones, other than the traditional white diamond, that are suitable for everyday pieces such as engagement rings. Sapphires, which come in a vast array of colours – from traditional blue, to teal, green, peach, pink, orange, purple, grey, yellow and parti – is one of our favourites. Parti sapphires display two or more colours, making each gem unique. Spinel is another favourite – it comes in shades of grey, blue, red, orange, lilac, pink, purple, black and silvery white. Salt and pepper diamonds and champagne diamonds are another great alternative. Read more about alternatives to white diamond in our blog 8 Alternatives to White Diamond in Contemporary Engagement Rings.
METALS
We work with high quality, Australian gold and platinum manufactured ethically and sustainably, to a very high standard, here in Sydney. Our metals consist of a percentage of recycled metals which undergo a process of refining, and newly mined metals.
We work with Australian-made precious metals, in 9 karat, 14 karat and 18 karat white, yellow and rose gold, platinum, palladium, zirconium, titanium and carbon fibre.
Generally speaking, olive- and dark-skinned people can wear all metal colours, while white gold, platinum and yellow gold looks great on people with white skin and a pink undertone. Read more about metal colours and skin tone on our blog Precious Metals and Skin Tone.
The main difference is the content of pure gold. In 9 karat gold, it’s 37.5%, in 14 karat gold, 57.5% and in 18 karat gold, 75%. Although the three alloys look very similar, the higher the gold content, the less the metal will tarnish. Read more on our blog 9k vs 18k Gold.
The platinum we use is 95% pure, hallmarked 950, and is the highest grade. Platinum is a hypoallergenic metal suitable for people who are likely to have a reaction to other metals in an alloy. White gold is naturally a grey or yellowish colour, depending on other metals present in the alloy. If you like a bright white colour, white gold will require rhodium plating every 1-3 years, depending on the wear and tear. Rhodium is a precious metal that is bright white. Platinum does not require plating and is naturally a bright white metal.
JEWELLERY CARE
We offer lifetime complimentary professional cleaning and settings check in our Sydney studio. We recommend you bring your Lizunova jewellery to us every 6-12 months to keep it sparkling and looking its best.
It is recommended to avoid letting your jewellery come into contact with hard or abrasive surfaces like steel or concrete, that can cause damage to the metal and stones of your piece. Jewellery can be cleaned at home with some warm water, mild detergent and a soft brush. For more on how to care for your jewellery, visit our Jewellery Care Guide.
Diamonds, like any other gemstone, require careful wear and regular cleaning, to keep them sparkling. Read our blog Tips to Keep Your Diamonds Clean for more information.
