As with any fine jewellery, we recommend removing your ring during activities that may expose it to heavy knocks or unnecessary wear.

Heat treatment is a common and accepted practice in the sapphire industry to enhance colour and clarity. The vast majority of sapphires on the market today are heat-treated. This treatment is permanent and stable, and it does not diminish the value or durability of the gemstone. We are transparent about any treatments our sapphires may have undergone. Untreated sapphires are extremely rare and command a premium.
Yes. Sapphires can appear different in various lighting conditions. Natural daylight is particularly useful when assessing a sapphire's colour, while warmer or cooler artificial lighting can shift how its tones appear. Yes. You're welcome to visit our Sydney studio (by appointment) to view available gemstones, explore our engagement ring designs and discuss your ideas. We also work with clients throughout Australia and internationally via video consultations, detailed gemstone videos and photography, making it easy to commission a bespoke engagement ring from anywhere in the world.
Our bespoke engagement rings are typically completed within five weeks. Custom rings generally take 4–12 weeks depending on complexity, gemstone sourcing and production method. If you're working towards a proposal date or special occasion, please let us know and we'll do our best to accommodate your timeline where possible.
Our natural sapphires are sourced exclusively for Lizunova bespoke jewellery and are not sold as loose gemstones.
