Billie | Asymmetric Australian parti sapphire engagement ring with a hidden halo

Sculptural and expressive, this engagement ring is based on the Billie design, reimagined around a freeform centre stone and refined diamond detailing. Handcrafted to order in our Sydney studio, it offers a contemporary, design-led interpretation of a one-of-a-kind engagement ring.

At its centre sits a handpicked natural sapphire, selected for its colour, shape and individuality. The original design featured a 3.21ct freeform Australian parti sapphire from Queensland, displaying soft tones of teal, green and yellow with a light, luminous quality. 

As with all natural sapphires, each stone is entirely unique and cannot be replicated. The design can, however, be recreated with a centre stone of your choice.

Each custom ring begins with the careful selection of a centre gemstone, sourced to align with your preferred colour, origin, size and overall aesthetic.

The asymmetric form of the stone is embraced by a simple, sculptural setting, allowing its natural contours to guide the design. A hidden halo of natural white diamonds sits discreetly beneath the centre stone, adding a subtle layer of brilliance visible from certain angles while maintaining a clean, minimal look from above.

Crafted in platinum, the setting offers strength and refinement, with a softly rounded band that complements the organic form of the stone.

Modern and individual, this design celebrates the uniqueness of the gemstone, pairing beautifully with a straight wedding band, or a bespoke band created to complement its shape.

This ring is designed to be fully customised around your chosen centre stone. You can select from a curated range of natural sapphires or diamonds, with guidance provided to align with your preferred colour direction, shape and overall aesthetic.

Materials and specifications

This sapphire engagement ring is handcrafted in our Sydney studio in your choice of 14k or 18k yellow, rose or white gold, or platinum, and set with a natural sapphire or gemstone selected specifically for you. 

The original design featured a 3.21ct freeform Australian parti sapphire, complemented by a hidden halo of natural white diamonds and crafted in platinum.

Pricing for this ring varies depending on the selected centre stone. We will guide you through available sapphire or diamond options based on your preferences and budget, and provide a tailored quote.

Production time and ordering

Each ring is made to order in our Sydney studio and is not available for direct online purchase. Production time is approximately 5–6 weeks from confirmation of your design. Please contact us to view available stones and begin the bespoke process.
