Kaia | Spinel & diamond bypass engagement ring

A sculptural engagement ring defined by a refined bypass silhouette, this design flows gracefully around the centre stone in a balanced, symmetrical composition. Handcrafted to order in our Sydney studio in 18k yellow gold, it offers a contemporary interpretation of the classic trilogy ring.

At its centre sits a handpicked gemstone, selected for its colour, cut and presence. The original design featured a 3.15ct cushion cut grey spinel, displaying soft tones of lilac and blue with a luminous, shifting quality.

As with all natural gemstones, each centre stone is entirely unique and cannot be replicated. The design can, however, be recreated with a centre stone of your choice.

Each custom ring begins with the careful selection of a centre gemstone, sourced to align with your preferred colour, origin, size and overall aesthetic.

A pair of pear cut natural white diamonds is set on either side of the centre stone, creating a symmetrical, trilogy-inspired arrangement. The softly curved band flows around the stones in a fluid motion, enhancing their form while giving the ring its distinctive bypass structure.

This ring is designed to be fully customised around your chosen centre stone. You can select from a curated range of natural sapphires, spinels, diamonds and other gems, with guidance provided to align with your preferred colour direction, shape and overall aesthetic.

Materials and specifications

This spinel engagement ring is handcrafted in our Sydney studio in your choice of 14k or 18k yellow, rose or white gold, or platinum, and set with a natural gem selected specifically for you. The band features a curved bypass design, set with a pair of pear cut white diamonds on either side of the centre stone.

The original design featured a 3.15ct cushion cut grey spinel, complemented by a pair of pear cut natural white diamonds.

Production time and ordering

Each ring is made to order in our Sydney studio and is not available for direct online purchase. Production time is approximately 5–6 weeks from confirmation of your design. Please contact us to view available stones and begin the bespoke process.
