This striking ring celebrates one of Australia’s most captivating gemstones - the black opal from Lightning Ridge.

Lightning Ridge in New South Wales is the world’s most famous source of black opal, prized for its dark body tone and vibrant flashes of colour.

At the centre of the ring sits a luminous Australian black opal, alive with shifting flashes of colour that move across the stone as it catches the light. No two opals are ever the same, making each ring a truly individual piece.

Framing the opal are two vivid Ceylon blue sapphires, their rich blue creating a beautiful match with the opal’s ever-changing play of colour. The balance of blue tones and iridescent fire gives the ring both elegance and character.

The setting itself holds a small hidden detail: a delicate rosebud motif tucked within the basket beneath the centre stone - a subtle touch that reveals itself only upon closer inspection.

Handcrafted in our Sydney studio, this design brings together Australian opal, fine sapphires and thoughtful craftsmanship in a ring that feels both timeless and distinctive.
