This 2.27ct emerald step cut Australian parti sapphire from NSW was selected for its striking natural colour zoning, with clearly defined areas of blue and yellow running through the elongated stone. Where the two colours meet, flashes of electric blue bring the sapphire vividly to life.

The crisp step-cut facets emphasise its graphic colour pattern and elegant proportions, giving the stone a wonderfully contemporary character. It would be particularly striking set east–west, in a refined four-claw solitaire, or paired with baguette diamonds in a five-stone design.
